The Cide team is proud to announce the first contest for photographers that will like to exploit the Comic 2.0 “The Cide” to show

their talent.
The best photo will be re-elaborated in The Cide style, sponsored as an official wallpaper and at our judgement put in one of the

next The Cide episodes.

ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to everyone 14 years or older at the time of entry, submitting one photo shoot.
The photo shoot must satisfy the following requirements:

• the subject and the contents must be in line with the thematic purposed for the competition, specified in the section

  “COMPETITION MAIN THEME”

• The subject and the contents must be not offensive and outragious for other cultures and religions and can’t

  represent pornography or political propaganda

• It can show illustrations, drawings or murales just if they are represented in their original contest
• It must be unpublished
• It must be original and shot personally by the person that will join the competition
• It must be in JPEG format. The minimun dimension is 6 megapixel (3000×2000)
• It must respect the post-production criterions shown in the “POST-PRODUCTION DIGITAL MODIFCATION” section

COMPETITION MAIN THEME
The subject of the photographies must be a suburban landscape, in line with the cide atmosphere. It have to suggest a noire and

decadent atmosphere.

POST-PRODUCTION DIGITAL MODIFICATION
The following modification are admitted:

• color curves and white balance
• brightness and contrast
• transform, rotate or crop
• frame insertion
• create an HDR photo
• adding in post-production specific filters and optics
• bring modifications that can be applied in the darkroom like in the analogic format
• create panoramic photos by using two or more shots of the same subject
• create infra red photos

Some of the forbidden modifications are:

• modifying the image leaving a portion with colours and the other portion in black and white
• make a collage with two or more photos
• create any photomontage that’s not listed above, HDR photos or panoramics
• insert text, signing or titles

Note: all the modifications not listed in the allowed list are considered unallowed.

REGISTRATION
Registrations for the contest will be open from 12 p.m. on April 10, 2010, until 11:59 p.m. on May 21, 2010. Any registration

submitted later than these terms will not be deemed eligible.
Entrants must fill in the online entry form at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions to send the photo shoot. By

submitting the entry form the entrants agree to the above regulations and restrictions.
The photographers should become fans of “The Cide” in the official Facebook The Cide fan page, to receive updates on the contest.

WINNER SELECTION
Entries will be evaluated by the “The Cide” Artistic Committee to select the finalists after the registrations closing date.
The finalists will be named on May 23, 2010 and will be admitted to the final phase.
The winning photo shoot will be chosen by a public online voting at “The Cide.com”. The winning photo shoot will be the one

receiving the largest amount of votes during the final phase ending at 11:59 p.m. on May 30, 2009.

PRIZES

Some pages are missing, probably ripped off, but those remaining suggest that the priest had secret meetings with the deceased Seth Warner, during which Father Blanco gave the journalist information about a highly classified matter we have not details about, details presumably written on the ripped pages mentioned above.

Forensics found, in a hidden compartment of the diary, a piece of paper with the following sentence written on (sentence which is now in the hands of our Intelligence): 

7:3 9:4 14:1 amen

 
The bed was untidy, a clue indicating that Blanco was sleeping before he went out the Church, entered the car and, still a hypothesis, killed himself.

 
Two other strange elements are the presumed disappearance of a small strongbox that used to be on Father Blanco’s bedside table (according to the housekeeper’s testimony) and the absence of any sign of breaking on the door.

The only one who owns the room keys, besides Father Blanco and the housekeeper, is Father Donovan, who is, however, above suspicion, given his good terms with Blanco and the other priests and the total lack of any motive.

Many of you have been impatiently waiting for the release, and we humbly apologize for this considerable delay due, however, to unavoidable reasons such as the increasing amount of work engagements and partnerships and new projects we’re working on. That’s because, as we all know, everything runs fast on the web, even what is totally new on the scene, like our Comic 2.0.

We thus apologize again and hope you will enjoy the reading.

As for the case of Seth Warner, who, according to recent information, probably knew the priest, many questions are still unsolved. There are no reasons to think that Father Blanco was depressed or somehow distressed. Moreover, the colleagues and the faithful of his Church describe him as a sensitive, careful and always helpful person.

Only an item has probably been moved: a souvenir of no intrinsic value found near a clean circular portion of the dusty dashboard, portion that, having the same size of the item, seems to be its former location.

Anyway, it is surely to discard the hypothesis that the item has been used to commit the presumptive suicide.
